Welcome to the Baydreamer Hideaway, a unique eco-friendly Bed and Breakfast property in beautiful Port Stephens, the 'Dolphin Capital of Australia'! Accommodating a maximum of 8 guests, we are more akin to a private resort than other types of accommodation. Depending on guest preferences we operate as a Bed & Breakfast or as a 2 or 3 bedroom self-contained holiday unit. But whatever configuration you choose, we're sure you'll enjoy the relaxed, informal nature of the Baydreamer that keeps our guests returning year after year.
The property incorporates the owners residence with reception area, a separate guest accommodation building with adjoining salt water pool, gardens and BBQ and outdoor entertainment areas. And there's lots of off-street parking for your car, boat or trailer.

	The Hideaway contains two guest rooms, each with ensuite bathroom, queen size bed and private TV. The pool area overlooks a classic Australian vista that offers a sunrise you will not forget! The Rainforest Room is perfect for a romantic getaway. It opens onto the pool deck and overlooks the Mambo Reserve.
The Boatshed Room also overlooks the Reserve and can be configured for 4 people if required. It makes an excellent alternative for two adults and two children. The Hideaway guest accommodation building includes a lounge area, log fire, dining area and a kitchenette for your convenience. A third guest room, the Dolphin Room, with queen bed, ensuite bathroom, private TV and its own entrance is in the main residence. All rooms have ceiling fans for your comfort.

Pricing includes GST and a delicious basket breakfast each morning. Breakfast is fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, tea, cereal, toast or muffins and condiments.

If you prefer, the Baydreamer is also available on a self-contained (you do all your own meals) 2 or 3 bedroom holiday unit basis. An economical alternative for families or groups of from 4 to 8 people.

The Baydreamer Hideaway is centrally located at Salamander Bay in the 'Blue Water Paradise' of Port Stephens, an easy 2 1/2 hour drive from Sydney CBD, or about 45 minutes from Newcastle. It is convenient to all attractions in the Port Stephens area. You can take dolphin or whale watching cruises, go scuba diving at Broughton Island, surfing at One Mile Beach, or boating or fishing in the Bay. Try a round of golf at the resort course Horizons or at Nelson Bay Golf Club or Pacific Dunes in Medowie. Ggrab some 4WD excitement on Stockton Beach, or go bush walking in the Tomaree or Tilligerry koala habitats. Or perhaps its dining or shopping in Nelson Bay, or just lazing by the pool that appeals.

Attractions like Horizons Golf Course, Toboggan Hill Park, Lucky Strike Bowling, Salamander Shopping Centre and the Salamander Tavern are all within walking distance. We are from 5 to 10 minutes drive from any of over 20 beaches of Port Stephens (Shoal Bay, Nelson Bay, Salamander Bay, Soldiers Point) or the ocean (Fingal Bay, Samurai Beach, One Mile Beach, Stockton Beach). We will happily assist you to arrange or book any activities in the Bay area. We welcome golfers, divers, surfers, fishermen, sailors, 4WDrivers ... even couch potatoes.
